Sénanque Abbey is a Cistercian abbey near the village of Gordes in the département of the Vaucluse in Provence, France. It was founded in 1148 and repurchased in 1854 for a new community of Cistercian monks of the Immaculate Conception, under a rule less stringent than that of the Trappists. The community was expelled in 1903 and departed to the Order's headquarters, Lérins Abbey on the island of St. Honorat, near Cannes. A small community returned in 1988 as a priory of Lérins.
It is one of the most important Italian monasteries of Cistercian Gothic architecture. It was built in 1203 and consecrated in 1217.

The beautiful facade of the Abbey Church of San Pietro in the medieval heart of Assisi in Umbria, central Italy. Built in Romanesque and Gothic style in the 10th century by the Benedictines, the facade was made of red stone from the nearby Monte Subasio. It has a rectangular shape with three entrance portals and three rose windows. The large central portal is surmounted by an arch and a larger rose window. Famous for being the city of San Francesco and Santa Chiara (St Francis and St Clare), Assisi is recognized in the world as a place of spirituality and peace between all peoples and different confessions. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands. Since 2000 the Franciscan sites of Assisi have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Super wide angle image in 16:9 format and high definition quality.
