The Elegug Stacks, also named Stack Rocks, are situated just to the east of the Green Bridge of Wales. The two prominent limestone sea stacks rise up close to the cliffs from a boulder strewn bay. The word Elegug is Welsh for guillemot and there were certainly thousands of them nesting when we visited plus one opportunist peregrine falcon biding his time whilst hiding in the cliffs. There were also rafts of guillemots out to sea catching fish. Castlemartin Range, United Kingdom.
Two Dolphin Gulls, Leucophaeus scoresbii, fka Larus scoresbii, flying above a colony of King Cormorants, Leucocarbo (atriceps) albiventeron, on Bleaker Island, Falklands. These Cormorants are part of the Blue-Eyed Shag group of species which is currently under taxonomic review. There is also a Falklands (Brown) Skua in flight, with a number of King Cormorants which are coming and going from fishing trips.
