Halifax, Canada - August 2023: The Last Steps Memorial Arch was placed at the waterfront, at the Halifax Harbour, in 2016. Many Canadian soldiers took their last steps on Canadian soil on this place. The Arch of Constantine is an ancient Roman triumphal arch in Rome, the capital of Italy, and is representative of Roman architecture. It is located between the Frawius Amphitheater (Colosseum) and the Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum. It was built to commemorate the fact that Constantine, the Deputy Emperor of the West, defeated the Emperor Maxentius at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge and became the only emperor of Western Rome. It is also a model of the Arc de Triomphe du Carousel built in Paris, France.
