Male Randall's Anthias' become striped in red and magenta while females will have a yellow nose. Randall's Anthias does best when kept in a species-specific tank of at least 70 gallons, or up a minimum of a 125 gallon aquarium when maintaining a small group. Bluefin Trevally Caranx melampygus occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean from the Red Sea and East Africa to Ducie Island, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia, in the Eastern Central Pacific from Mexico to Panama in a depth range from 0-190m, max. length 117cm, common 60cm. The species feeds mainly on other fishes, also crustaceans. Ciguatera poisoning can occur with at a length of minimum 50 cm. Ciguatera, a foodborn illness, caused by bioaccumulation is a very heat-resistant toxicity who cannot be detoxified by conventional cooking. \nBehind the Trevally there is a school of One-stripe Fusiliers Pterocaesio tessellata.
