Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - April 2, 2022: Wall plaque commemorating Harry Elkins Widener viewed through the closed glass doors of the entrance foyer. The Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library honors 1907 Harvard College graduate and book collector Harry Elkins Widener, and was constructed after his death in the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. Building dedicated in 1915.

A British National Serviceman’s Grade Card, issued under the National Service Acts, and dated 29th June 1953 at Lewisham in South East London. He was placed in Grade Two and was aged 18. National Service came into force in the UK in 1949 and required all physically fit males between the ages of 17-21 to serve in one of the British Armed Forces for eighteen months (later two years), after which they were retained on the reserve list for a further four years. National Service ended in 1960, with the last National Servicemen being discharged in 1963. (Identifying information removed.)

The 19th amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919 and ratified on August 18, 1920. The amendment declared that \
