Costa Rica’s main attraction, the Sloth. These are fascinating creatures. Here you can see a 2 toed Sloth. They are incredibly difficult to spot. They live high up in the trees, only coming to the ground once a week to defecate, why exactly is unknown however there are a few interesting theories. They are nocturnal and sleep for up to 18 hours a day. When they are active they move at a rate of 2 meters per minute, so the chances of one catching your eye is unlikely.
