Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany: St. Ludwig Church (St. Ludwig Kirche) is a striking Catholic church and one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Completed in 1827, it was designed by architect Georg Moller and is notable for its Neoclassical style, featuring a large, domed rotunda that is often compared to the Pantheon in Rome. The church's interior is characterized by its spacious, circular design and a central altar beneath the grand dome. Dedicated to Saint Louis of France, the church plays a significant role in Darmstadt's religious and architectural history. Despite damage during World War II, it was carefully restored and continues to serve as an important place of worship and cultural heritage in the city.
