The most thermophilus Leucorrhinia, with a relative southern range.\nHabitat:\nGenerally inhabits less acidic and nutrient poor places than L. dubia and L. rubicunda, preferring marshy borders to bogs, forest lakes, fenlands, marshy ditches.\nVegetation is typically lush and varied, with both emergent and submerged species. Generally common, even abundant on many acidic waters.\nHabitat: \nMostly acidic waters such as bogs, moorland and heathy lakes, but also breeds in small tarns, drying ponds and ditches.\nFlight Season: \nRelative late, from mid-June to early November, most abundant in August.\n\nThis is a common Species in the described Habitats in the Netherlands.
