An impressive wide view inside the majestic Roman Pantheon, in the heart of Ancient Rome, with the central apse. With a diameter of 43.44 meters, it is still the largest dome in the world today. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Built in 27 BC by the consul Marco Vispanio Agrippa for the emperor Augustus, it was dedicated to all Roman divinities. In the picture we can appreciate the mighty columns and the magnificent dome, still today one of the largest in the world, characterized by an opening called 'oculus' placed at its top. Currently in the Pantheon it is home to a Catholic church and inside there are the tombs of some Italian kings and the remains of the great Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio (Raphael).
