The tiny, brown-and-white sand martin is a common summer visitor to the UK, nesting in colonies on rivers, lakes and flooded gravel pits. It returns to Africa in winter.

Outside breeding period roosts commonly in trees (not reeds).\nConfident towards humans, building its closed, convex mud nest beneath eaves on house walls, on bridge girders etc..\nWhen young have fledged, birds often perch in numbers on telephone wires.\nHunts insects at all levels, but often high in air.\n\nThis Picture is made during a Vacation in Bulgaria in May 2018.

European Roller (Coracias garrulus)
The barn swallow (Hirundo rustica) is a small migratory bird belonging to the swallows family (Hirundinidae). It is the most widely distributed swallow species in the world, and can be found in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and Northern Australasia. It is the only species of the genus Hirundo whose geographic range includes the Americas, with most species of this genus being native of Africa.

A Yellow-Rumped Cacique bird is seen perching near a nest.  The Yellow-Rumped Cacique bird is a weaver bird.  The bird makes a nest by weaving stands of straw in a a very large tear drop nest.  The bird can be seen with a long strand of hay in its beak.

Often roosts communally in reed beds outside breeding season.\nNest an open mud cup reinforced with plant material, placed on roof beam or projection inside barn, boathouse, under bridge etc.\nCommonly hunts insects low over ground, often around legs of grazing cattle, but also treetop height.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands.
