A male Black-throated Mango (Anthracothorax nigricollis) hummingbird in eastern Panama.  There are eight species of mangos, found from Mexico to mid-South America and several Caribbean islands.  All of the females are strikingly patterned with a bold black stripe from the throat to the belly.

A Violet-fronted Brilliant hummingbird is seen perching in a natural garden. The violet-fronted brilliant is 11 to 13 cm (4.3 to 5.1 in) long.
