Tropaeolum majus (garden nasturtium, Indian cress, or monk cress) is a species of flowering plant in the family Trooaeolaceae. It is warm weather annual that has been popular in herb gardens, cottage gardens and flower gardens. The plant features showy, long-stalked, funnel-shaped, 5-petaled flowers in shades of red, orange, yellow and cream. Flowers bloom from spring to fall and have a spicy fragrance.
