The most thermophilus Leucorrhinia, with a relative southern range.\nHabitat:\nGenerally inhabits less acidic and nutrient poor places than L. dubia and L. rubicunda, preferring marshy borders to bogs, forest lakes, fenlands, marshy ditches.\nVegetation is typically lush and varied, with both emergent and submerged species. The water is frequently mesotrophic and often colored brown due to peat.\nFlight Season:\nFrom early May to early August, with most records in late May and June.\n\nThis Picture is made in the Wieden (Overijssel, the Netherlands) in mid June of 2023.$
