Once a year takes place the catalan celebration of Correfocs, where people do fireworks dressed as demons on the street.

Sant Sadurni d Anoia, Spain - September 10, 2011: A dragon spitting fire during a Correfoc festival at night in Sant Sadurni d Anoia. Correfocs are traditional festivals in Catalonia in Spain. People dressed in devil costumes dance in the streets of theit towns and cities among fireworks.They often also use demons and dragon figures that spit smoke and fire.

Agnone, Molise (Italy): men in traditional black cloaks and hats carry flaming torches during the ancient Christmas event called 'Ndocciata, celebrated in Agnone, city in the Molise region of Southern Italy. In this religious celebration, a great number of “‘ndocce” (torches) are carried in a typical fan shape along the main town road. The carriers start with only one torch, then bring each up to 24 fires, each about four metres high. The celebration ends with a bonfire in the town square.
