This is a picture of a historic log cabin.  It is located in Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  The cabin was built around 1805 and Thomas Lincoln, Abraham's father did much of the carpentry and cabinetry work. This was the kind of structure that was built on the frontier by the pioneers that settled west of the Allegheny Mountains when they acquired some wealth.
