Female green frog (Lithobates clamitans or Rana clamitans) at a public garden. It's interesting to see wild animals take up residence in such a place. They can come and go as they please. With people going by, they become quite tame. In the female of this species, the eye and tympanum (or ear) are about the same size, and the throat is cream-colored. In the male, the tympanum is much larger than the eye, and the throat is yellow. Females average larger than males.
