Witley Court Country House Worcestershire Midlands England
Houghton House was built circa 1615 for Mary, Dowager Countess of Pembroke, in a mixture of Jacobean and Classical styles: the ground floors of two Italianate loggias survive, thought to have been designed by Inigo Jones. It is a Grade I listed building. Abandoned in 1794 and stripped (by the owner) of its interiors and roof for sale as building supplies. The house is one mile north-east of Ampthill and eight miles south of Bedford. It is owned by English Heritage and is open to free public access during daylight hours. May 5, 2023.

Dunluce Castle is a now-ruined medieval castle in Northern Ireland, the seat of Clan MacDonnell. It is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in County Antrim (between Portballintrae and Portrush), and is accessible via a bridge connecting it to the mainland. The castle is surrounded by extremely steep drops on either side, which may have been an important factor to the early Christians and Vikings who were drawn to this place where an early Irish fort once stood.
