Coral Cavern Mangapwani is on Zanzibar (Tanzania) and is 1.6 million years old. It was accidentally discovered by an enslaved boy child in the early 19th century. It was found to lead to the sea and gave enslaved people on this plantation access to water. It may have been used to conceal enslaved people.
