Built in Romanesque style starting in 1256, the Duomo or Cattedrale di San Benedetto (Cathedral of St. Benedict of Nursia) is among the best preserved major churches in the region. The interior of the church consists of three naves, a cross vault and a semicircular apse. In the background in the center the precious high altar, rebuilt with elements of the 14th century, composed with bas-reliefs depicting episodes from the life of St. Benedict.
