Mount Nebo is an elevated ridge approximately 710 metres above sea level, located in the Jordanian Highlands, a part of the Abarim mountain range, it is mentioned in the Bible Old Testament as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before his death. The Church of Moses is situated here and he is reputed to have been buried somewhere on the mountainside with sweeping views of the Holy Land.
