The  Bubonic plague ran its course over 14 months and one account states that it killed at least 260 villagers, with only 83 surviving out of a population of 350.

6th June 2019: The Scott Monument, a Victorian sandstone monument dedicated to the Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott. It is located in Princes Street Gardens, close to Waverley Station in the centre of Edinburgh in Scotland. The statue was completed in 1844, twelve years after the author's death. It stands at over 200 foot high and is a major landmark in the popular Scottish city.
