The Makalani Palm or Real Fan Palm (Hyphaene petersiana) and the Baobab are part of the scenery.

The Fremont’s Cottonwood (Populus fremontii) is a poplar tree native to the American Southwest and south through central Mexico. The tree was named after John C. Fremont, the 19th century American explorer. The riparian tree grows near streams, rivers, springs and wetlands below 6,600 ft elevation.
