Bogota, Colombia - July 20, 2016: SOme local Colombian people are seen enjoying the sunshine on the small square called Chorro de Quevedo in the La Candelaria district of Bogotá, the Andean capital city of the South American country of Colombia. It is here that the Spanish Conquistador, Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada founded the city in 1538. The stone plaque above the entrance to the Cafe in front states the same. It is also from this Square that the Zipa, or Chief of the Muisca tribe, viewed the Savanah de Bogota regularly. In 1832 the site was purchased by the Augustinian priest, Father Quevedo, who installed the public water fountain on the Square; Its water supply was cut off when a nearby building collapsed in 1896. Ollantaytambo, Peru - August 25, 2014: Ollantaytambo is a town and an Inca archaeological site in southern Peru some 60 kilometers northwest of the city of Cusco. It is located at an altitude of 2,792 meters (9,160 feet) above sea level in the district of Ollantaytambo, province of Urubamba, Cusco region. During the Inca Empire, Ollantaytambo was the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti who conquered the region, built the town and a ceremonial center. At the time of the Spanish conquest of Peru it served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance. Nowadays it is an important tourist attraction on account of its Inca buildings and as one of the most common starting points for the four-day, three-night hike known as the Inca Trail. Villa de Leyva, Colombia - September 13, 2014: Founded in 1572 and Located at just over 7000 feet above sea level on the Andes Mountains, Villa de Leyva was declared a National Monument in 1954 to protect it's colonial architecture and heritage. It is located in the Department of Boyaca, in the South American country of Colombia.  Photo shows Carrera 10; there is a Posada or Inn on the right and a couple of restaurants.   They do not have huge signs, but smaller hangings outside indicating what is available inside.  People are seen seated at the restaurant while some tourists walk down the cobblestoned street.
