The genocide took place after The Young Turk Revolution involving the years 1914-1923 which impacted the Christian minority Pontic Greeks in Anatolia. The Young Turks wanted to 'Turkify' the Ottoman Empire and so a genocidal campaign took place against non-Turkish minorities. Between 1914-1923, about 353,000 Pontic Greeks were killed and 1.5 million were expelled.

This Epiphany Parade, or La Marche des Rois, was an annual street event in Aix en Provence, France. This one took place on 11 January 2014. The procession transports the onlookers back to another time and place by and with the costumes, dancers and music. Not only that, there are camels, goats, sheep and various animal along to entertain. The event is beaitufl and fantastic.
