On the horizon the ancient Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo (Basilica of Saints John and Paul) built starting from 398 AC, and in the foreground the gardens of San Gregorio. The Caelian Hill, one of the seven ancient hills of Rome, between the Aventine and the Esquiline hills, preserves numerous archaeological areas from the republican and imperial era, such as the Temple of Divus Claudius, and important churches such as the Basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati and the Basilica of Saints John and Paul.
