The ancient Dacian ruins at Sarmizegetusa Regia, in the Transylvania region of Romania. Sarmizegetusa Regia was the capital and the most important military, religious and political centre of the Dacians prior to the wars with the Roman Empire. Sardis or Sardes was an ancient city at the location of modern Sart in Turkey's Manisa Province.
Dougga or Thugga or TBGG was a Berber, Punic and Roman settlement near present-day Téboursouk in northern Tunisia. The current archaeological site covers 65 hectares (160 acres).  Dougga's size, its well-preserved monuments and its rich Numidian-Berber, Punic, ancient Roman and Byzantine history make it exceptional. Amongst the most famous monuments at the site are a Libyco-Punic Mausoleum, the Capitol, the Roman theatre, and the temples of Saturn and of Juno Caelestis.\nThe archaeological site is on a plateau with an uninhibited view of the surrounding plains in the Oued Khalled.

The most popular megalithic site in Wales, Pentre Ifan is a splendid burial chamber with a huge capstone delicately poised on three uprights. Once known as Arthurs' Quoit, Pentre Ifan means Ivan's Village. This monument, dating back to about 3500 BC and unusually oriented north-south, stands on the slopes of a ridge commanding extensive views over the Nevern Valley.
Xieng Khouang. The Plain of Jars is a place in central Laos where you will find hundreds of stone jars of various sizes, scattered across endless plains. Nobody knows exactly why they are there and since when. I visited this mysterious place  and this is one of the pictures I took.
