Guskhara, WB, India - August 18, 2018 : Taken this picture just after rain of the abandoned united states air force air base in a small village called Guskhara state West Bengal in India. After the war the area was reclaimed by natives. In the picture on left side is the remains of the runway from where the aircraft use to take of or land and now cattle grazing now. In background are the settlements and houses are made of mud. The runway is still intact and used by the villagers as a road which is open all year around. The sky is cloudy as it was raining whole day and water is still there on the runway. The landscape dotted with abandoned structures and aircraft shelter which are in ruins.\n\nGuskhara Airfield is a former wartime United States Army Air Forces airfield in India used during the Burma Campaign 1944-1945.
