$Ribbon Moray or Ribbon Eel Rhinomuraena quaesita occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from East Africa to the Tuamoto Islands, north to southern Japan, south to New Caledonia and French Polynesia, including Marianas and Marshalls in a depth range from 1 to 67m. max. length 130cm.\n\nAdults occur in lagoon and seaward reefs. The secretive species is normally hidden in sand or rubble, sometimes with only its head protruding, like this specimen.
