Saint Urban's Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in the municipality of Pfaffnau in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. The monastery was founded in 1194 - the  new baroque chapel was realized in 1711.  The image shows the interior of the chapel with the beautiful altar.

A view of the stunning frescoes inside de apse of the Duomo of Spoleto, a medieval town in the Umbria region, central Italy. The frescoes, depicting the Stories of the Virgin, were painted by Filippo Lippi between 1467 and 1469. The Duomo, or Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta (Cathedral of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), was built starting from 1067 in Romanesque and Lombard style and consecrated in 1198. Spoleto, one of the most visited medieval cities in Italy, hosts the Festival of the Two Worlds, a world-famous event that brings together hundreds of artists, musicians, classical dancers and opera singers every year. Built in 1482 during the pontificate of Sisto IV, the church was designed in the Renaissance style with a trapezoidal plan and an octagonal cross by the architect Baccio Pontelli. In 1656 Pietro da Cortona designed the Baroque-style façade with a semi-circular colonnade.
