Washington DC, USA-August 24, 2013: People are seated inside the Rosa Parks bus to hear a lecture for the 50th anniversary of the civll rights march on Washington DC. On 12/1/1955 Rosa Parks along with other black passengers were ordered out of their seats by the driver as they sat in the colored section of the bus. The bus was crowded and white passengers needed a seat. All of the colored or black people obeyed except Rosa Parks who was arrested for civil disobedience. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. organized a successful boycott against the Montgomery Atlanta bus company and the rest is history. This was a turning point in the fight for civil rights for black people.
