Monument to Historic Jamestown. It is the cultural heritage site that was the location of the 1607 James Fort and the later 17th century city of Jamestown.

The ancient Dacian ruins at Sarmizegetusa Regia, in the Transylvania region of Romania. Sarmizegetusa Regia was the capital and the most important military, religious and political centre of the Dacians prior to the wars with the Roman Empire. Erected on top of a 1200 m high mountain, the fortress, comprising six citadels, was the core of a strategic defensive system in the Orăştie Mountains (in present-day Romania). The Helles Memorial serves the dual function of Commonwealth battle memorial for the whole Gallipoli campaign and place of commemoration for many of those Commonwealth servicemen who died there and have no known grave. The United Kingdom and Indian forces named on the memorial died in operations throughout the peninsula, the Australians at Helles.

Peggys Cove, Canada - September 4, 2014: Memorial of Swissair flight 111 crash. 229 people died after plane crashed close to Peggys cove. Many people come here to pay their repects to the people that died. Crash occured on 2 September 1998. There are flowers in one of the slots of the memorial. People who visit do so in a very repectful way.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is in front of the National War Memorial in Confederation Square, Ottawa, Canada and was added to the war memorial in 2000.  The tomb holds the remains of an unidentified Canadian soldier who died in France during World War I.
