The Pisa Baptistry of St. John (Italian: Battistero di San Giovanni) is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical building in Pisa, Italy. Construction started in 1152 to replace an older baptistry, and when it was completed in 1363, it became the second building, in chronological order, in the Piazza dei Miracoli, near the Duomo di Pisa and the cathedral's free-standing campanile, the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The baptistry was designed by Diotisalvi, whose signature can be read on two pillars inside the building, with the date 1153.

The bell tower and the dome of the majestic Duomo, in the heart of the medieval city of Siena, in Tuscany, central Italy. The construction of the Metropolitan Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, was completed between 1215 and 1370, becoming one of the religious architectural masterpieces of the Romanesque and Italian Gothic style. Inside, the Sienese cathedral preserves countless artistic masterpieces created by Nicola Pisano and his son Giovanni, Michelangelo Buonarroti, the Pinturicchio, Donatello, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Duccio di Buoninsegna, Simone Martini, just to name a few of the best known. Siena is one of the most beautiful Italian cities of art, in the heart of the Tuscan hills, famous for its immense artistic and historical heritage and for the Palio, where the seventeen old districts of the city compete every year in Piazza del Campo in one of the oldest horse racing in the world. Since 1995 the historic center of Siena has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Image in high definition format.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower known for its unintended tilt. Built in white and gray marble in Romanesque style, it stands next to the Pisa Cathedral. The tower’s tilt, due to soft ground, is its most famous feature, while its cylindrical design with six rows of arches adds to its architectural charm
