Lucerne, canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, 3 August 1986: several cars in the square in front of the Modern Bridge which crosses the Reuss River before it flows into Lake Lucerne. Lots of traffic on the bridge and many flags on the opposite side of the adjacent Chapel Bridge.
The horse-drawn carriages still had the majority, however first automobiles appeared. Photography from 19th century.
