Dendrobium speciosum, commonly known as the rock orchid or cane orchid, is a species of Australian orchid. Its varieties can be found in a range of habitats as epiphytes (on branches or trunks of trees) or lithophytes. It has a continuous distribution along the east coast of Australia and in distinct populations along the Tropic of Capricorn.

Liatris spicata, commonly called Blazing star, Dense blazing star or Gay feather, is a tall, upright, clump-forming perennial. It features terminal spikes of rounded, fluffy, deep purple or white flower heads appearing atop rigid, erect, leafy flower stalks. It has the habit of opening its fluffy flowers from the top of the spike down.

White melilot (Melilotus albus), a tall wildflower, is also known as white sweet clover (see below for other common names). One possible reason for the second name may be its forming of a sweet-smelling hay. It was introduced to the Americas as cattle fodder, and has established itself widely, particularly in damp places. While it is considered as an invasive species in the Americas, since it out-competes brave native species, it is still recognised as a good nitrogen-fixing clover, and as a species favoured by honey bees. White melilot has typical three-pronged clover leaves that are quite narrow and also serrate-edged. Other names for white melilot (as listed in Wikipedia) are Bokhara clover, honey clover, tree clover, sweet clover and white-flowered sweet clover.
