A female Violet Sabrewing (Campylopterus hemileucurus) in the mountains of western Panama.  Sabrewings are large hummingbirds named for the thickened and bent outermost two primary flight feathers, the purpose of which is unknown. This species is found from southern Mexico to western Panama.
