Rome, Italy: Oratorio dei Filippini (Oratory of St Philip Neri) - religious building built by Francesco Borromini between 1637 and 1667 for the Congregation of San Filippo Neri - The facade summarizes the innovations of Borromini's austere and technically rigorous style. The main body is divided into five sectors by pilasters (pilasters) arranged on a concave plan; the dialectical play between the central part of the first order, curved outwards, and the depth of the niche with basin with false drawers of the upper order is lively. The shape of the tympanum, created for the first time with a mixtilinear shape, generates a curvilinear and angular movement - Piazza della Chiesa Nuova.
