Eagle huntress winner of the Sagsai Golden Eagle Festival held on 17th-18th September 2023, near the small town of Sagsai, in the Bayan-Ulgii province of Western Mongolia. In Petra, Bedouins are often seen resting among the characteristic rock mountains of the ancient city. The intense heat makes it impossible to walk or stay under the sun for extended periods, therefore the Bedouins rest quite often in these places - like under the shadow provided by the few trees that are in Petra - to recover energy and continue with their daily activities for the day. The high temperatures pose a significant risk to the human health.

During the end of May and the beginning of June, when this photo was taken, temperatures soar, reaching over 40°C from midday until the afternoon.\n\nTourists, especially those from Europe and the U.S, find it challenging to endure the scorching heat throughout the day. Consequently, many opt for horse or donkey rides provided by the Bedouins to make their stay in Petra more comfortable. It's important to note that both the animals and the humans suffer from the intense heat, and the added weight of the riders exacerbates the animals' discomfort$
