Lenox, Massachusetts - USA, October 26, 2023.  Lenox a quaint charming community in the Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts and home to Tanglewood the summer home for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
In 1866-67, 19 year old Thomas Edison lived in the left side of this shotgun duplex on E. Washington St in Louisville. Each day, he walked to his job at a Western Union telegraph operator at 1st & Main St.\nOn his lunch breaks, he liked to experiment on new inventions. In 1867, he was fired from Western Union after he spilled some sulfuric acid, which dripped through the floor and onto his boss's desk. He never returned to Louisville.\n\nThe house is now a museum housing several examples of Edison’s inventions as well as common household items from the period.
