High-hat Triplefin Enneapterygius tutuilae occurs in the tropical Indo-West Pacific from East Africa to Micronesia, Line Islands, and Society Islands, and Taiwan to Australia, including Papua New Guinea, Line Islands and Society Islands, Taiwan to reefs of Coral Sea and New Caledonia in a depth range from 0-55m, max. length 4cm. Adults are found in various reef habitats, but often on sponges or reef outcrops and in intertidal pools and on corals and rocks.
