North Horr, Kenya - August 16, 2005: North Horr, Kenya - August 16, 2005 Gabbra people are basically pastoralists that lives in a dry land in northern Kenya. Coming from Marsabit on my way to Loyangalani in Lake turkana, I am dumbfounded with the sight of this big herd of camels drinking from a very small water channel. We are in a truck safari departing from Nairobi some days ago. We are crossing a very sandy riverbed at the moment and the driver couldn't stop fearing getting stuck. The area is very remote and we didn't saw any other vehicle in the last two days. It is amazing how people live so far and untouched by civilization.
