Acacia baileyana, also called Cootamundra waffle, is a large evergreen shrub or small tree, adorned with a wide-spreading canopy and weeping branches, clothed in feathery, finely cut, blue-gray leaves. The foliage remains appealing all year round. In late winter to early spring, clouds of bright golden-yellow, small, rounded flowers held in axillary racemes cover the branches and create a striking floral display. As some photos show, it is a great plant for slopes and banks.\nThese photos were taken on a very windy day in spring.
Looking down onto burnt bush land after the bush fires came through the area.  The fire has charred the ground and blackened the tree trunks but the leaves on the trees have only browned.  Blades of green grass are already showing days later.
