The B-1B's design, with swept-back wings is designed for long-range missions and high-speed flying.  The afterburners are lit on takeoff for several images at sunset as it departs the Las Vegas, Nellis Air Force Base for a nighttime combat training mission as part of the annual Red Flag exercises conducted at Nellis.
