Albino squirrels, which are extremely rare in nature, were found in Washington D.C., United States. It is found in nature with its completely white fur on the National Mall in the city. Albinism is considered a genetic anomaly defined by the complete or partial absence of pigments. Those who live in or visit the Capitol have the privilege of seeing these red-eyed albino or white squirrels born with a 1 in 100,000 chance. Scientists estimate that only 20 of the 2 million squirrel population in the United States are albinos.
