Jesus grew up in the town of Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. Each year Mary and Joseph went to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. When Jesus was twelve, they took him with them. When the feast of the Passover ended, Mary and Joseph left for home not realizing Jesus was not with them. When they found that he was missing they returned to Jerusalem. After three days, they found him in the Temple. Jesus was sitting among the teachers. This was the first time Jesus spoke of “his father’s house.” He returned to Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. Joseph was a carpenter and Jesus worked with him. He grew in mind and body. And he grew in favor with God and man.
