Its construction began in 447 BC and was completed in 438 BC, In the 1200's the Parthenon was converted to a Christian church and then converted into a Mosque in the 1400's.

She wrote a controversial book about pesticides and was recognized posthumously by President Carter who awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She died in 1964.
