The Trajan's Forum is among the best preserved archaeological areas in Rome, with the remains of the large market built by the emperor and the temples that were part of this sumptuous portion of the great Roman Imperial Forum. In the background, on the left the famous Trajan's Column and on the right the dome of the church of the Santissimo Nome di Maria at the Trajan Forum. Rome, Italy, January 29 -- A view of the archaeological area of the Teatro di Marcello (Theatre of Marcellus), between the Jewish Ghetto and the Campidoglio (the Roman Capitol Hill). The theater of Marcellus it's still partially preserved, built on the orders of the emperor Augustus in the southern area of Campo Marzio.
