This is Hiroshima Castle, a Japanese castle from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the Edo period, located in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, and built by Terumoto Mouri.\nThe castle was destroyed by an atomic bomb at the end of the Pacific War, and the current keep is a restored keep made of reinforced concrete structure.

The park is open to the public free of charge.\nThe pagoda was constructed in 1959 to commemorate those who died in the World War II.\nYou have to go up 398 steps to the pagoda from the foot of the hill, where Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine is located.\nArakura Fuji Sengen Shrine was erected in 705, and is one of about 1,300 Sengen shrines which were erected in honor of the deity of Mt. Fuji. This place is very popular among tourists from both Japan and overseas for its wonderful view, combining typical Japanese symbols of Mt. Fuji, Pagoda and cherry blossom.
