The Kruisstraat is a shopping street in the city center of Haarlem. The street, together with the Kruisweg and the Barteljorisstraat, connects the Grote Markt with the Kennemerplein and De Bolwerken near Haarlem Station. The street functions as an important artery for slow traffic, partly because the street is car-free and serves as an important north-south route.\n\nHaarlem is a city located in the west of the Netherlands. The city, located on the banks of the Spaarne river, is also called Spaarnestad for this reason.
