Bruges, Belgium - June 22, 2012: The Belfry (Belltower) in Market Square (Markt) in historic city center. It is a medieval bell tower that  formerly housed a treasury and the municipal archives, and served as an observation post for spotting fires and other danger. In the 16th century the tower received a carillon, allowing the bells to be played by means of a hand keyboard. Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Tourists are walking around.

Oslo (Sentrum), Norway: Oslo City Hall (Oslo rådhus) - built 1931–1950 according to drawings by the architects Arnstein Arneberg and Magnus Poulsson. The town hall is located in the center of Oslo on the north side of Pipervika, the south façade faces Rådhusplassen, the town hall piers (Rådhusbryggene) and the Honnørbryggen pier by the Oslo Fjord. It is the venue for the yearly awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize.
