Since the banning of that substance, this falcon has made a remarkable recovery and is now fairly common in some areas and has been removed from its endangered status. It is renowned for its aerial abilities as it preys mainly on flying birds. It has been measured in a dive at over 240 mph, making it the fastest of all birds.
